Course Aim

Explore the biomechanical, histological, and long-term clinical data surrounding Osseodensification. This course delves deep into the clinical versatility of the process, covering techniques such as Sub-Crestal Sinus Lift, Lateral Ridge Expansion, and Immediate Implant Placement with Osseodensification. Participants will also be introduced to the Guided Expansion Graft's two-stage approach and a universal protocol for guided surgery. A key aspect of this course is understanding how to preserve and plastically expand bone while simultaneously enhancing its strength in a controlled manner. Furthermore, participants will learn about the impact of Osseodensification on the development of total implant stability for both early and immediate loading. The course emphasizes the importance of risk assessment to avoid potential complications. To ensure hands-on experience, attendees will have practical training sessions using real bone specimens and simulation models.

Course Description

This full-day workshop is designed to streamline your understanding of the science behind Osseodensification. It combines theoretical scientific learning with hands-on practical training. The curriculum is divided into two main parts: 3.5 hours of didactic education focused on scientific principles and clinical case reviews, followed by another 3.5 hours of hands-on exercises using real bone specimens and simulation models.

The course emphasizes the clinical applications of Osseodensification, particularly using the Densah® Bur Technology. Participants will explore the Compaction Autografting technique, delve into the Densification Guide suitable for any implant system, and learn site optimization techniques with the Densah® Bur to enhance implant stability. Key procedures covered include Sub-Crestal Sinus Autografting, Lateral Ridge Expansion, Immediate Implant Placement, and Guided Expansion Graft Procedures. Additionally, attendees will become familiar with the Densify After Cut (DAC) Protocol and the Universal Guided Surgery Protocol.

About the Lecturer

  • Dr. Petros Yuvanoglu
  • Petros Yuvanoglu, D.M.D. is a distinguished graduate from Semmelweis University in Budapest, where he earned his dental degree Summa Cum Laude in 1995. Standing out as valedictorian of his class, he continued his education at Tufts University in Boston, USA. By 1998, he had completed a rigorous three-year post-graduate program, securing a specialist certification in prosthodontics. Today, he serves as an adjunct faculty member in the Postgraduate Prosthodontics department at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.Dr. Yuvanoglu has been dedicated to private practice since 1999, specializing in prosthodontic rehabilitation for both teeth and dental implants. Recognized for his expertise, he's been a keynote speaker at various national and international dental conferences, including esteemed institutions like the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (AAED), the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS), and the Pikos Institute.Further cementing his position in the dental community, in 2011, he co-founded the “Same Day Dental Implants” Clinic in Dubai, UAE, with Dr. Costa Nikolopoulos. Their clinic has since earned the titles of Branemark Osseointegration Center Dubai and Zaga-Zygoma Implant Center Dubai.

Why should you take this course?

This course offers one of the best speakers for the topic presented. Dr. Yuvanoglu is a world-renowned surgeon who will teach you all of the benefits of using Osseodensification with Densah burs. At its core, Osseodensification, particularly with Densah burs, transforms the way we approach bone augmentation. Traditional drilling methods take away bone, but Osseodensification preserves and plastically expands it, making the bone more resilient and prepared for implant placement.

But the magic doesn’t end there. Have you ever wished for a simpler way to perform sinus lifts? With the Densah burs, internal sinus lifts become almost routine, drastically reducing the complexity and risks associated with the conventional lateral approach.

By incorporating Osseodensification into your practice, you’re not just adding another procedure to your repertoire; you’re embracing a technique that enhances bone quality, accelerates healing, and broadens your implant placement possibilities. This isn't just about being on top of the latest trend; it's about achieving superior clinical outcomes for our patients and pushing the boundaries of what's possible in implantology.
